I bought the 52"×36" size as potty training pads for my Silky chickens (which are incontinent when young but can be trained as they grow,
much like puppies) and the thick vinyl underside provides a leak-proof guard against the surface on which it's placed, whether it be a floor, chair or bed. The upper layer is also strong and thick, but much softer so would not be uncomfortable for a person.

I washed both pads in very warm water (permanent press cycle) and dried them for 30 minutes on medium heat (with dryer sheets to prevent wrinkles or electric shocks from the vinyl which wouldn't be very encouraging to my chicks) with no evident shrinkage or tearing afterward.
If anything could tear the top layer, chicken claws - much larger than you would expect because they're hidden by feathers - would surely do so, but the pads remained unscathed by their beaks & claws.

I like the large size - it increases efficacy - and soft upper layer, along with getting two so that one can be washed while the other is in use. If you need to replace one daily, however, I would recommend buying a package or two of four pads.

This is a great waterproof pad for the price, far more effective (and similarly less expensive) than the disposable ones I tried before, which fall apart quickly and work poorly due to the cheap plastic not exactly "waterproof" layer topped by a readily ripped & shredded upper layer. These are the same pads they use on all beds in hospitals for a reason. They're almost indestructible.

If you're using disposable pads now and need them constantly, I suggest trying these instead if you have a washing machine, or buying 8 if you don't but need to use a laundromat. Seven large pads would fit into a side-door washer.

In any event, the large pads offer much more security against leakage and are sturdy enough to be well worth the expense regardless of your reason for needing waterproof pads. I highly recommend these waterproof pads.

I got these because my kid is going through a bed wetting phase and I needed help. I was washing linens everyday, changing bedsheets at midnight, paid so so much money for frebreeze. Towels were not cutting it and my kid was sleeping in my bed almost every night because their mattress was wet. Gross I know. These things are awesome. Super absorbing (no leaking and no dripping when I remove them). They aren’t the softest thing in the world but they are soft enough to sleep on. I wash them with the dirty blanket (no fabric softener, some other reviewer said that takes away the absorbency and I wasn’t about to test the theory). Having two in the pack is great because I have a backup one just in case. Love them.

Update: it’s been about a month. I’ve washed each one atleast three times. I still love them. They are still soft after washing and they save me so much time and energy and I finally have my bed back to myself!!

I got these for my (at one point) 115 lb Pit Bull who was sadly dying from cancer and suffering with incontinence issues as a result. He looked so deflated when I diapered him and confined him to his tempur-pedic dog bed, not to mention the uptick of bathes required to clean up the mess after an accident. He already hated baths since he had to take them weekly due to skin (and other) allergies, plus the stairs to get to it was very difficult on him.

I first tried pet pads but they were smaller and to me seemed more like something I would use for an accident prone pup or small dog. These pads were much bigger and heavier than any pet pad I got and felt much more durable. The only place my boy wanted to be was on the couch with me, his big head in my lap, and I wanted to give that to him for as long as I could. I got a bunch of these pads and just covered the couch with them, having extras ready when an accident occurred and just ran a steady cycle of washes so I always had them available. Nothing ever got through to my couch so they were super absorbing and it allowed him to be exactly where he loved being most. Spending those last weeks on the couch together meant so very much to both of us. For that I am eternally grateful.

P.s I knocked off one star for ease of cleaning for the simple fact they are white and I had “other” stains on them that didn’t completely go away but considering they were white it was much easier than expected. Definitely good for pet use!

I foster hospice/special needs pugs and use pads allllllll over the place. I used to use disposable but I started feeling really bad about all that plastic and all that money. These are great, I wash them (and the vast belly band collection) with bleach no fabric softeners! and they usually last a year or more before the padding starts to shred. Even then, if they aren’t leaking I’ll still use them as under layers with blankets, puppy claws can get snagged when they are shredded so protective blankets are a must. These are a nice big size, nice thickness and so far have held up really well to repeated washings and general heavy use by the dogs. I know they are meant for people and honestly I’d use them for that too if the need ever arose. No more plastic being tossed daily, they keep my bed dry and are easy to clean. Very win.

I place this thick absorbent pad under the sheet to protect the mattress and to keep from bunching up because my disabled family member moves around in the bed so much. It is an excellent product and two of the pads, laid side by side, provide all the coverage needed. I highly recommend it.

I have two pads.... one for my wife at home, the other when we are traveling in the motor home. These are more substantial than I thought when I ordered them. I like to sturdiness of the material. These seem to be well made.

This attaches under the mattress which holds it in place. Perfect for bed-ridden patients, or those who suffer incontinence. Easy to wash, and dry. We'll be ordering two more. Don't bother trying a competitors product - this one cannot be topped.

Just as described. Size is perfect. Good value for the money. If anyone is looking to prevent mattress or sheet issues due to night-time incontinence these will do the job. I put one on top of the mattress pad. Put a sheet over that and then the 2nd pad is on top of the sheet for my dad to sleep on and catch any mishaps if they occur. Working well so far. They do wash well also. I have a 4 total that I’m constantly rotating into the daily bed change so I don’t have to rush to laundry every day.

Best of luck to all.

I can finally sleep well without the worry. The edge seams are sewn very well. No loose strings. I have washed them several times and they have held up extremely well. Still no problems with seams. My sheets are never wet. I have stress incontinence so it is not a heavy amount, but enough to have to change sheets very often. But not with these pads. I wash them in my Cheer powder detergent and they come out beautifully clean. I put them in my dryer and they come out in a short time ready to be folded and put in linen closet. I can not say enough good things about these pads. They do not roll, or bunch up during sleep. I love them. I bought a 4 pk. Perfect for my laundry schedule. I highly recommend this product. These are my own words.

Much better than having to change my parents bed everytime one of their urinary devices is not working / placed properly by them or a caregiver. One under each, wash the one that is wet/damp/smells, no muss, no fuss, just into the wash upon wake up. Have enough to immediately put another on so available for naptime. Saves SO much worry about them and all is "matter of fact" no blame, no shame, just part of the routine.
